**Privacy Protection and Electronic Documents Act** for using the machines while an age restriction in set by the government for using the product

The company: Uptaste Group Inc.

Maxime Paulhus Gosselin is responsible for privacy matters within the company.

**Policies and Procedures Regarding Personal Information Protection**

The collected personal data is hashed. In the context of information security and cryptography, "hashing data" often means applying a hash function to that data. A hash function takes input data and produces a string of characters (usually of fixed length) called a "hash" as output. The hash is unique for a given input, and even a small change in the data results in a significant change in the hash. This is often used to secure passwords and verify data integrity.

**Purpose Determination for Information Collection**

This data is only used to confirm the consumer's age and ensure the use of a maximum of one portion (up to 30 ml) per day per location of an automated tasting machine.

Consumer consent is recorded when they scan the back of their driver's license.

**Collection Limitation**

The only information retained is the 13-character alphanumeric series found in the barcode on the back of the driver's license, used for age validation of the license holder and for a one-time daily use of the machine to ensure responsible consumption.

**Use, Disclosure, and Retention Limitation**

The driver's license number is hashed upon the first scan, kept for a maximum of 24 hours, and then erased. It is not disclosed to any other legal entity and is unusable for Uptaste Group Inc.

Uptaste Group Inc. does not retain collected data in the machines after 8 days and does not possess raw driver's license numbers, so they cannot be retained or used for purposes other than age validation in front of the automated tasting machine.

**Security Measures**

The hashing protocol is SHA-512. Platform access is protected by an access code, and data destruction occurs nightly, ensuring that Uptaste Group Inc. does not hold consumer identifying data for more than 24 hours.

Our policy is available on our website and on the machines during campaigns that have an age limitation for product use.

**Access to Personal Information**

Consumers cannot access their personal data because it is not identifiable or traceable by Uptaste Group Inc.
